Afghanistan in RED ONE 4K High Definition
Back to combat zone footage unseen since WWII/Vietnam era. The actual resolution of the footage is 4096×2048: img517.imageshack.us It is my hope that the DoD shows interest in assembling a specially trained team of service-members to film on this new equipment and provide footage to disseminate back to the public at a quality this generation deserves, both home and abroad.

3Great suggestion, great camera. I see this video before, but only now write a response.
Think, this is a great voice to DoD.
P.S. Want a RED one too.

4Although I am not a fan of this push to get rid of film, I have been very impressed by what I’ve seen done with the RED One. Unfortunately, it is still a video camera and subject to all of the problems inherent to their nature (gaininess in low light, comet tails, smeared pans). I have yet to see an entire feature shot with it (I missed “Angels and Demons”), but I think I’ll rent “Knowing” on Blu-Ray tomorrow, since is was shot entirely with the RED One.

23I noticed some aliasing on the helicopter blades. This camera shoots uninterlaced right? Does it have a rolling shutter?
Or was that just from an inefficient downsizing to 720p?
Amazing amaizing video
