I edited this final footage/montage from my deployment to Afghanistan in 2009 of Air Force/Air National Guard Combat Rescue/Medevac operations in the Helmand Valley area. I wasn’t able to arrange for a RED this time around, but have been able to record some decent HD footage on a new Sony Handycam. This was a very sobering deployment and probably my last in an “operational” capacity as I move on with my military career.

Is there a diffrence between PJs and CSAR? I want to do Combat Search and Rescue as a career but I hate the Idea of the jump lol but if I have to then so be it.

CSAR encompasses all the jobs that get the PJ to the casualty. Depending on their mode of transportation you have different aviation related jobs (pilot, FE, Gunner, etc.) in a Rescue Squadron.

just because he has the NVG’s on dosnt mean he will be using them, the flight might last a while might as well have them and not need them than not have them at all.

The Air Force calls it a GAU-18. The rest of the world calls it a .50 calibre machine gun.
