   They’re jobs are similar. However, MARSOC has an advisory group that trains ppl in other country how to fight in their wars like Special Forces. MARSOC can also be supported by and/or support USMC units as well in addition to being part of SOCOM.

   Dude there are still force recon elements out there. MARSOC consists of Force Recon guys but that doesn’t mean force reconnaissance is gone.

   Dude, why would you want to become an O? Trust me I was an O in SPECOPs, and the NCOs have much more fun. Plus they get to spend their careers with the same unit. O’s can only do about two years and then move out. The OCS recruiter probably did not tell you that. Breaking way from SPECOPs Sucks! Check it out, do 10 tens as an NCO in SPECOPs, then if you still want go to OCS, retire as an O, now that is a plan…Do you understand?

    Is it? No, its just your opinion, If you think closer you will know that i do not know what are the roll of MARSOC, In that time i was thinking that ”Special Forces Units” Pretty Much do the same thing….But i already know that out there are some Special Forces with diferents Jobs….Like Rangers – That is a more elite fast action infantry Unit, SEAls, Green Berets etc…. Next time Answer and dont waste your time. (The final message is optional)

    You know, Im not a Marine but imma tell you what I love about the Marines. The Marines do their Job. The Marines do an EXCELLENT job, and they keep their mouth shut about it meaning they aren’t on t.v. bragging. Go in, do the mission, get out, reset for the next mission, point blank. I have nothing but respect for the Marines and have worked along side with some great Marines throughout my military career. RIP CPL. Woods, my thoughts are with you and other fallen comrades.

    we were on out last mission when our convoy was hit with and IED and travis died in the blast
